Good Deeds Day

Good Deeds Day 2021 was truly unlike any other year! Reimagining Good Deeds Day to be safe while still meaningful, TOV extended the international day of service to last all week long from April 11-16. We offered COVID-19 safe in-person volunteer projects, online opportunities with real world impact, and a variety of independent projects to complete from home. Projects ranged from providing food to those in need, beautifying a neighborhood, connecting with senior residents, decorating duffle bags for children in foster care, and so much more. By the end of the week, 900 volunteers of all ages and all across Chicagoland participated in 38 service projects benefiting 27 different organizations.

We are so proud of all the volunteers who stepped up to meet urgent community needs and made our new event structure a success! Check out photos from Good Deeds Day 2021 here. We look forward to seeing everyone again for Good Deeds Day 2022 on April 3!

Good Deeds Day is an international day of service that was founded in Israel in 2007. In 2019, 3.9 million volunteers from 108 countries around the world came together on one day to do good and prove that anyone can make a difference.
