JUF Job Fair - a Tremendous Success!

The JUF Job Fair was held this past Wednesday, June 24 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Jewish Federation building. With over 300 participants, representatives from over 40 companies, career counseling, resume checks and workshops on the hour, this day was a tremendous success! If you missed the job fair and/or would like more help with your job search, Jewish Vocational Service provides a variety of support and networking events through the Jewish Employment Network. Professional Networking Happy Hour: Thursday, July 9

Network with other young Jewish professionals and enjoy a few drinks with friends. Join the Business Professionals Network (BPN) of the Young Leadership Division on Thursday, July 9, for a networking happy hour. The event will take place at District Bar (170 W. Ontario St., Chicago) at 6:00 p.m. There is no cost to attend and each participant will receive one drink ticket for wine or beer. You must register in advance to receive a drink ticket.

Answer the Call: Wednesday, July 22

Come help us reach our goal for the 2009 Jewish United Fund Annual Campaign at our "Answer the Call" Phonothon. YLD Night is Wednesday, July 22 at the Jewish Federation building’s Lillian and Larry Goodman Conference Center (30 S. Wells, Chicago). Dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m. and phone calls will begin at 6:00 p.m. Every call can help make a difference!

WYLD Party in the Park: Thursday, August 20

Save the date for YLD’s annual “WYLD” Campaign event, WYLD Party in the Park, which will take place on Thursday, August 20. Enjoy a fun, summer night under the stars with friends! This event will take place at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum (2430 N Cannon Dr, Chicago) at 7:30 p.m. The cost to attend is $45, which includes open bar and dessert. This event requires a minimum gift of $55 to the 2009 Jewish United Fund Annual Campaign (which is not due until December and can be paid in installments).
