Sign up for one of YLD’s most successful programs!

• Learn about YLD and how you can become more involved.
• Expand your knowledge of issues facing the Jewish community locally and abroad.
• Augment your understanding of JUF’s allocation process to its beneficiaries.
• Discuss and debate contemporary Jewish topics with your peers.
• Socialize with other young adults your age and make new friends.

The LEADS program offers an introductory exploration of the Jewish community and contemporary issues. Groups will be formed in several areas of the city and separated by age first, then location (Gold Coast, Lakeview, and Lincoln Park).

LEADS is a two-month series that will begin this June. Dates: Thursday, June 25 - Wednesday, July 8 - Thursday, July 23 - Tuesday, August 4- Friday, August 21 - Tuesday, September 1. Sessions typically begin at 7:30 p.m., though there will be some variance. Following most of the sessions, groups will meet all together at a bar for a happy hour. The cost of the program is $60.

Join us at Enclave (220 W. Chicago, Ave) on Thursday, June 18, 2009 from 7:30 – 10:30 p.m. for BLUE AND WHITE BAR NIGHT. Presenting the hottest Israel event of the year, this evening will feature a FASHION SHOW of the most talented and innovative Israeli designers. All clothing and accessories are provided by Tel Aviv Couture. This event is co-sponsored by several other Jewish young leadership groups. The cost is $20 in advance and $25 at the door, which includes 2 drink tickets with the featured liquor of the night.

You are cordially invited to attend the 70th Annual Meeting of the Young Leadership Division on Tuesday, June 23rd at 5:45 p.m.at the Jewish Federation Building (30 S. Wells, Chicago) in the Lillian and Larry Goodman Conference Center. Please join us as we recognize our outgoing Board members and induct our new Board members. The cost to attend is $20 in advance (including dinner, dessert and refreshments).

The JUF Job Fair will be held on Wednesday, June 24 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m at the Jewish Federation in the Lillian and Larry Goodman Conference Center. This job fair will give participants the opportunity to meet with employers, learn about full time positions and build networks to expand job search efforts. This job fair is designed for beginning to mid-level professionals. Interactive panel presentations including “Building a Network for your Job Search” and “Sharpening your Interviewing Skills” will be held at 11 a.m., 12 noon and 1 p.m.
