| | Stand Up Chicago with Don Rickles |  |  | JUF Presents STAND UP CHICAGO Join us for an evening of community, solidarity, and laughter on behalf of the 2009 Jewish United Fund-Israel Emergency Fund. JUF presents STAND UP CHICAGO on Monday, August 3, 2009, featuring an evening with Don Rickles. The event will be held at the Auditorium Theatre (50 East Congress Parkway, Chicago). Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. and the program will begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $40 per person and must be purchased in advance through the JUF Website. Attendance at this event requires that each attendee make a meaningful commitment to the 2009 Jewish United Fund-Israel Emergency Fund. Your gift can be paid in installments and is not due in full until December of 2009. The goal of Insights is to reach out to women in our community, and educate them on JUF and other current topics. At the program, you will have the opportunity to learn about JUF’s vital efforts to help Jews here in Chicago, Israel and around the world. Past Insights programs have included Sarah Preston and Andrea Rubin at Landmark Grill and Lounge, Julie Strauss at Pearl Furniture and The Hungry Hound, Steve Dolinsky, at Joey’s Brickhouse. Deliver Rosh Hashanah Food Packages: Maot Chitim of Greater Chicago provides food to needy Jewish people in Chicago and its surrounding suburbs for Rosh Hashanah and Passover so that they may observe the holidays in a traditional and dignified manner. Volunteers will meet a truck at an apartment building and distribute food boxes to individuals’ apartments. |  |
