YLD Clothing Donation Event

JUF’s Young Leadership Division, in partnership with TOV, is hosting a “Fall Closet Clean-out” event to collect donated clothing for The ARK thrift shop. Each month, ARK social workers dispense thousands of dollars in ARK Thrift Shop vouchers to ARK clients who use them to shop for clothing and household goods. All proceeds from sales of other goods help fund The ARK’s lifesaving services.

During this changing-of-the-seasons, please consider donating used clothing to this very worthy cause. For information regarding donation drop-off at the Jewish United Fund offices (30 S. Wells Street, Chicago) between now and October 23, contact Ariel Zipkin at (312) 357-4880 or email yld@juf.org.

Participate in The ARK's Annual Chanukah Gift Wishes Program

The ARK’s Chanukah Gift Wishes program provides families with an opportunity to do a mitzvah during the December holiday season by purchasing Chanukah gifts for ARK clients. Last year, dozens of ARK parents were able to provide gifts for their own children as if they purchased them themselves, and many adults received a Chanukah gift for the first time in many years.

For more information or to sign up, please contact Bonnie Azose or Diane Krugel at (773) 973-1000 by Friday, October 30.

The JUF TOV Volunteer Network engages members of our community in the mitzvah of tikkun olam, repairing our world. TOV will help you explore volunteer opportunities within the community in order to design a volunteer plan that fits your lifestyle.

Our sages tell us the world rests on three pillars. One of them is Gemilut Chasidim, or acts of kindness such as feeding the hungry, visiting the sick, and helping the needy. As Jews, we have a responsibility to perform acts of charity and righteousness that uplift our communities. Come join us in this important work.

THE JEWISH UNITED FUND annual campaign funds essential social welfare, education, and relief programs for 300,000 Chicagoans of all faiths and 2 million Jews worldwide. Donate now to JUF.
