What’s Happening @ JUF Teen Connections?
GMR BBYO's Stand Up! 10-10-10
Solomon says “This year, everyone in BBYO across the International order is participating in something called the StandUP! Campaign. Each region chooses a topic, such as hunger, and for the entire programming year, dedicates time, money, and advocacy efforts to helping that specific cause and educating the community in which they live. GMR (Great Midwest Region) chose hunger, more specifically the ARK, as our issue and organization.” |
Video Contest: Share Your Mitzvah Project! This great organization called Areyvut (say: ar-ay-VOOT) is having a contest-- make a video about your bar- or bat-mitzvah tikkun olam project, send it in, and (maybe) win awesome high-tech prizes like an iPod! It needs to be 2-7 minutes long and explain your project and why you are doing it. Find out more about Aveyvut and the rules of the contest. Then grab a video camera-- or some gizmo that has a video camera built in-- and shoot for the (Jewish) stars! |
