Farm to Table Chefs Immersion

Make Food, Make Friends, Make a Difference

Learn about food justice and environmental issues, work in the greenhouse or garden, cook meals for those in need and participate in cooking challenges. Culinary highlights include learning contemporary farm-to-table favorites such as artisan challahs, smoothies, cheeses, jams, and pickles and discovering Jewish recipes from around the world such as Ethiopian breads, classic European chocolate desserts, Israeli salads, hummus and pita.

Program Highlights

  • Experience life on the farm first hand working in the greenhouse or garden, making healthy organic compost and caring for animals
  • Participate in cooking workshops and enjoy culinary challenges
  • Demonstrate your new skills in a community farm to table cooking event

A . Yes, there will be some outdoor activities at Pushing the Envelope Farm, weather permitting

A . No experience necessary.

Q . What if I have dietary restrictions?
A . Most restrictions can be accommodated.

Q . Will the program be kosher?
A . Food served on the program will be vegetarian but not necessarily certified kosher.
