Intergroup Relations is at the core of JCRC’s work with our partners. By creating sustainable long-term dialogue with leaders in the African-American, Latino and Asian-American communities as well as with a variety of faith groups, JCRC advocates on behalf of the global Jewish community and maintains alliances on key issues.
Our temple had broken with mainstream Reform over a decade before over the movement’s rejection of Zionism. Now, in 1961, my brother was in the congregation’s first generation reared on Israel and Zionism as core elements.
The Jewish United Fund of Metropolitan Chicago is the one organization that impacts every aspect of local and global Jewish life, providing human services for Jews and others in need, creating Jewish experiences and strengthening Jewish community connections.
