JUF Campaign / Marketing / Market Research / Data Analysis (30 S. Wells, Chicago)
The Jewish United Fund/Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago is the largest not-for-profit social welfare institution in Illinois and the central address of Chicago's Jewish community. JUF provides critical resources that bring food, refuge, health care, education and emergency assistance to 300,000 Chicagoans of all faiths and two million Jews around the world.
This is an opportunity to learn about the JUF annual campaign by working with Campaign staff on a variety of tasks, including planning events and a summer phonothon, using e-tools and other technologies (e.g., social networking sites) to cultivate and engage donors and prospects, analyzing donor data to develop insights, attract new donors and keep/upgrade existing ones, and conducting Market Research (e.g., surveys).
This position is geared toward someone interested in Marketing, Fundraising, and Data Analysis, and requires someone who has computer (Word, Excel), Internet (social networking sites), analytic, communication, and organizational skills, as well as flexibility.
The job will include a variety of tasks, and the opportunity to learn how all the departments of the Jewish United Fund work together to maximize the talents of our lay leaders and bring in the funds to support our community.
CJE SeniorLife / Development ( 3003 W. Touhy, Chicago)
The mission of CJE SeniorLife is to facilitate independence of older adults and to enhance quality of life by advocating on their behalf and by offering programs and services throughout the continuum of care for individuals, families and the community.
The intern’s assignment will include: planning and organizing the Annual Fundraising Event – Celebrating CJE and Ad Book; an opportunity to learn and use Raiser’s Edge: a funder tracking and cultivation program, writing and editing fundraising letters and research and planning for the CJE 2011 Donor Luncheon. Intern will attend staffings and work with staff in other departments.
Applicants should have good organizational and communication skills and a working knowledge of the Internet,Word and Excel. A self-starter who is hard-working, friendly and flexible is preferred.
Fiedler Hillel / Development & Marketing Intern (629 Foster, Evanston)
Fiedler Hillel is seeking a summer intern to help us maximize the potential of our High Holiday services. We currently attract over 850 members of the Chicago community and the High Holidays is our single largest fund-raiser of the year. We have two goals for the intern:
- to increase the number of community members who attend Hillel’s High Holiday services by helping create exceptional marketing and strategies.
- to create a tribute book with introductions to Hillel, relevant articles and paid advertisements from area synagogues and Jewish organizations.
In addition, a variety of general development and marketing related projects will be offered.
