11/5/2009- 00:00 PM | Darfur: Photojournalists Respond (11/5/2009)This event occurs daily between 8/26/2009 and 11/29/2009 The Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center will welcome its first traveling exhibition at the end of August, Darfur: Photojournalists Respond. Based on the book “Darfur: Twenty Years of War and Genocide in Sudan” by Leora Kahn, the exhibition features photographs by world-renowned photojournalists that capture the gravity of the crisis in Darfur, which has led to some of the worst human rights atrocities in modern times. Featured photojournalists include, Colin Finlay, Sven Torfinn, Pep Bonet, Ron Haviv, Lynsey Addario, Chris-Steele Perkins, Kadir van Lohuizen and Oliver Jobard. Location: Contact: |
